Sequin Count & Colours

We don’t count out each pack (too many things to sew and make) however we are happy to give an estimate on request but 5 grams is a LOT of most sequins! We do count the larger sequin shapes and check the quality of each one as there is fewer sequins in your 5gram packet. We always add extra to ach pack just in case.

We endeavour to capture the colour as accurately as possible in our photos but this can sometimes be difficult with some of the metallic or very shiny, reflective sequins so we hope our descriptions help. Please be aware that actual colours may also vary from displayed images due to your monitor settings. Please contact us if you have questions about any item.

Sequin Care Instructions

Due to the many different chemicals in detergents and other everyday items that sequins may come in contact with such as hand sanitiser and hand lotions, we cannot guarantee our products to be washable or colourfast. We suggest you test a few sewn on a sample of your chosen fabric. I have successfully washed items with sequins and gems and suggest hand washing in luke-warm water with a gentle soap product, gently squeeze out excess water by hand, then dry flat in the shade.

The finish of some sequins may be affected or damaged by the alcohol in hairspray or hand sanitiser.

Sequins hate heat! Avoid ironing the areas of your creations where sequins have been applied as heat can melt or damage the shape, colour and finish of sequins.

Care of Braids & Ribbons

Braids and ribbons should be ironed with caution as they may contain synthetic fibres, we recommend testing a small section of braid first and using your iron on a low setting with a pressing cloth to cover and protect the braid.

Most of our gota ribbons have a lovely crinkly ribbed finish, this is the way it is manufactured and designed to be. The ribbed finish helps to ease when stitching around curves.
